Just for clarification - the drum kit is mine, it’s not the for kids 😂… for some reason everyone keeps assuming my son is learning to play the drums 😂😂

I’m calling it my midlife crisis 😂😂😂.

It’s something I’ve always wanted to do but either never had enough time, money, childcare, or all three.

I’ve been learning to play for a acouple of months. I’m rubbish but I am LOVING it!

I can’t recommend drumming enough. It’s a massive boost of feel good endorphins and definitely gets rid of stress.

There’s also some science about how it affects both the left and right hemispheres of the brain, increases white matter, affects cognitive functions such as mood memory and focus and so much more.

Our brains are neuroplastic (can change as they learn and experience, a bit like plasticine it can be moulded to whatever we want), and drumming taps right into this - helping to encourage new and repair existing neural pathways…

So you guessed it…

Drumming can be beneficial for people who have chronic pain!

And yes, you can have a go 😂, you just need to ask 🙃.

See you soon!
