Feeling overwhelmed!

What an incredible weekend!!

On Saturday I gave a talk at Paignton Library ‘How to thrive with chronic pain’ and it went incredibly well!

First off I was a bit worried that I’d be in a big room talking to myself if no-one turned up 🤦🏻‍♀️ BUT two people came 10 minutes early and I absolutely lit up!!

Then more people arrived…

And more…

And more…

Until I had to get more chairs out because I’d only set up 10 chairs and 12 people came!

I felt so privileged to meet a group of absolutely incredible chronic pain warriors, who shared their stories with the group and in doing so we were all able to learn from each other - this is the part of the talk I truly love, where people realise they’re not alone and they have something of value to share too!

I hope I was able to help by sharing my knowledge, and if everyone took just 1 thing away from my talk then I am over the moon.

Several people stayed behind after to chat 1 on 1 and it was wonderful to make those connections.

It was an absolute privilege to share my talk - and to think I was worried no one would turn up!!
