Do you suffer from lower back pain and you live in Paignton (Torquay, Brixham, Torbay or nearby area!!) and you’re looking for someone local who can help?
Perhaps you don’t know where to start with lower back pain relief - should you get a sports massage, some physio, see a chiropractor or osteopath?
How do you know which is best for your lower back pain?
Truth be told it doesn’t matter what professional you choose to see to help with lower back relief.
I bet you can’t believe I just said that!! Well let me explain…
Massage / Soft Tissue Therapists, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Osteopaths… were all working to help you achieve the exact same outcome - lower back pain relief.
Yes we all have different methods and techniques, and yes some methods and techniques cross over.
There are some incredible massage therapists.
There are some incredible physiotherapists.
There are some incredible chiropractors.
There are some incredible osteopaths.
There are some genuinely brilliant practitioners out there who are working to give you the best possible outcome for your lower back pain. And it doesn’t matter what their title is, as long as they are helping you to get the best results for your lower back pain that you can.
So, how do you know who is the one to help your lower back pain?
Do your research!
Read what they have to say on their website and blog, scan their social media, read their reviews on Google.
Then ring and explain what’s going on with your lower back pain, and ask how they can help you.
A good practitioner should be:
Experienced
Have up to date knowledge and skills from continuously investing in their own CPD
Ask you questions about your lower back pain, how it affects you and what outcome you’re working towards
Honest about how they can help you, how your body and healing works, and how this is going to be a process of working together not just passive treatment
Give you confidence in your body and moving well
Not just trying to sell you packages saying they can ‘fix you’ in x many sessions (your body is far too complex and nuanced for anyone to guarantee this, and what would happen if you felt better in more or less sessions?)
Able to completely tailor your treatment to you
If you are already having massage / soft tissue therapy, physiotherapy, chiropractic, osteopathy treatment or even mixing them; as long as you are feeling the benefit of your treatments it’s the right thing for you.
You are always welcome to call and discuss your lower back pain, or send me a message and I’ll call you. I am happy to answer any questions you have and then if you feel it’s right for you we can book you in.
