Neurodivergent and worried about getting a massage?

I am working increasingly with people who have been diagnosed with, are going through a diagnosis process or who identify with being neurodivergent…

…Well they do say we are drawn to one-another!! (I won’t get into the neuroscience of that on this post)

What I’ve noticed is that, as it turns out, I’ve always been surrounded by and working with people who are neurodivergent.

BUT I DIDN’T KNOW IT.

A lot of the time THEY DIDN’T KNOW IT either.

And for those who did know, they hadn’t been able to be so open about it before. (I am sooooo glad that has changed now and awareness and understanding is improving.)

What I want to get across is that Soft Tissue Therapy could be just for you if you are neurodivergent. And you will be made very welcome when you come to visit me.

I can adjust sensory stimulus such as temperature, lights, music choice and sound levels, which blankets you prefer, the smell of the room, extra pillows for support and comfort, and anything else you need I will always try to accommodate.

I also fill out the consultation form

While I’m talking to you so that you don’t have any additional stress of form filling!

Massage and soft tissue therapy can feel amazing because it can:

🤓 help regulate your nervous system, reducing physical and psychological stress,

🤓 calm your mind (yes, honestly!!),

🤓 take you to a place inside of you that you didn’t know you could reach in a healthy way,

🤓 help with any related muscle, joint and posture related pain (hypermobility is just one example of common co-occurring conditions),

🤓 and have an affect on anxiety and depression symptoms which can co-exist for many people.

So if you haven’t tried massage or soft tissue therapy for yourself, or you’ve been worried about how you’ll be treated, this is an excellent place to start!

Get in touch if you’d like to have a chat first, or book online directly here.
