⚡️STRESS ⚡️

Does stress feel like it’s getting the better of you?

Stress can be responsible for so many things we experience, some might feel so far fetched and yet there’s evidence to show the impact being overwhelmed or feeling stressed out all the time, really can do strange things to our bodies!

It’s so important to manage our stress levels and catch it before it gets too much. If we don’t listen to our bodies when they whisper, they really will scream!!

Some examples of the way stress can affect us:

Headaches or migraines

IBS flare ups

Muscle and joint pain flare ups

Spots

Fatigue

Not being able to fall asleep easily, disturbed sleep or feeling exhausted when we wake up

Brain fog

Tummy ache

Reduced performance in sports or at the gym

Increased risk of injury in sport/gym

Going off of food

Over-eating

Losing joy

Weight gain

Hair loss

Constipation/diarrhoea

Mood swings

And so much more….

It’s easy to see now why it’s so important to manage our stress levels. Often there’s simply stuff we can’t get rid of, so we have to learn to manage it instead.

This is a big part of the reason I became a massage therapist - to help people feel good!

Massage can help in a big way, by rebalancing the mind/body connection, helping you shift into a state of ‘Rest and Repair’, and giving you time to not be someone’s partner, parent, colleague - just to be yourself with nothing else to do but be nurtured for 60/90/120 minutes.

My clients tell me just knowing they have an appointment booked lowers their stress levels , so imagine how good they feel after their treatment!
