Fascia acts as a shock absorber that surrounds and infuses every part of the body in one continual 3D like web. It is easy to see how a restriction in the fascia in one area can then have an onward effect on other areas of the body. This is why I believe that Myofascial Release can be an imperative part of the wellness of a client who is seeing me for massage, as it acts as the 'missing link' to work the fascia in a similar way to how massage works the muscles.
